Chess with your whole body

Grappling covers all fighting techniques without strikes: takedowns from wrestling, positional control and submissions on the ground. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is its best-known form and shows how smaller, lighter people can beat stronger opponents with technique.

You learn positions such as guard, mount and side control, how to escape them and how to finish a fight in a controlled way. Grappling is also the foundation of MMA and one of the most realistic forms of self-defence.
